Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. These foundations support cutting edge breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment programs. There are twelve 3-Day events happening across the United States during 2006. Each 3-Day is supported by a 100-person all volunteer Health Services team which provides medical assistance and support for the walkers. This team is composed of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, EMT?s, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and chiropractors. The mission of the Breast Cancer 3-Day Health Services Team is to provide support for and ensure the health and safety of all participants on the event.
